My “Ideal” Bias in Every Girl Group I’ve Ever Stanned [Video]

Remember when I figured out my bias type? Well I decided to use the results from that post to go back and re-choose my bias in every girl group I currently stan, and in every girl group I have ever stanned in the history of ever. So, here are my ideal biases!

(The (G)I-DLE section is quiet so the video wouldn’t be blocked literally everywhere, sorry about that.)

Best Years for Girl Groups – Part 1/3

This is a new feature I am starting, where I will go through some groups and tell you which year I think they were at their best, and why. This is entirely subjective, and based on how much I liked their music for each year, and has nothing to do with their views or sales etc. No groups that debuted later than 2017 will be included in any of these posts, since I wanted a few years to choose from. Also, I will include disbanded groups, because they were great and I miss them.

Worst Debut Songs by Kpop Girl Groups

The last post I wrote was all about highlighting the best debut songs from the girl groups listed among my groups. But not every post can be so positive. Here I, while drawing from the same pool of candidates, will “highlight” the worst debut songs. These groups have all come leaps and bounds from their humble beginnings, and even though many of their fans may want to forget what that beginning was, that cannot be allowed.  Continue reading

Different Ways of Relating to Your Biases

We all have our biases, and I have a whole bunch. I have almost fifty official and there are loads of other groups where I have biases as well. But one bias does not equal another and the ways we, or at least I, relate to our biases differs from bias to bias. But I’ve been able to identify six distinctly different ways of relating that I think I could probably place every single one of my biases in. So that’s what I’ll try to do here. I’ll explain the six different stages of biasdom and exemplify what I mean by using examples from my own biases. Continue reading

Kpop Idols Who Don’t Fit Into Their Groups

We all know that there are some kpop stars that even though we love them, we can see aren’t really suited for their group’s style and image. This is in no way a list of people I think should be kicked out, I’ve just noticed huge differences between who they are, and who they “should” be. Some of these feel way more “wrong” than others though, so there might be people on here that you’ve never even considered for such a list. I’ll try to do this in an escalating fashion, so the people in the end are the ones I find really wrong.  Continue reading

Battle of the Girls – Preliminary Group 1 – Girl’s Day vs Secret vs After School

The first group in the battle of the boys had it out last week, and sadly my absolute favorite group in the whole world were eliminated and won’t be competing in the semifinals. So I’m hoping that this week I’ll get what I want! I won’t say which two groups I’m hoping for, but there are definite frontrunners in my mind. Which probably means one of them will be eliminated. Sigh.  Continue reading

Opinionated Profile of After School

after school

I learned After School more by default than anything else, through watching “After School’s Beauty Bible”. I started remembering the names of the girls I found likable, and then I just suddenly knew them all. If they’re styled too similarly and the cuts are quick I might still get confused, but mostly I know them pretty damn well now.

After School isn’t really a group I listen to though. I definitely like their concept, and they feel like a group for me, but I’ve just never fallen in love with any of their songs. I might be listening to the wrong things though, so suggestions are welcome! Continue reading

Kpop Sub-Units Galore

Yes, I know, I missed another review. But I have a very good reason! I went to the zoo as a part of my “biological diversity” class to look at big mammals and didn’t get home until around 8:30… So it’s really not my fault.

This week I’m listing some of my favorite sub-units from some of my favorite groups. And yes, I’m allowing more than one sub-unit per group, if they’re awesome enough.

So here they are, in no logical order whatsoever, my favorite sub-units! (right now) Continue reading
