Opinionated Profile of 2PM

2pm

It might have seemed a little weird to some people that I wrote the opinionated profile for GOT7 before I wrote 2PM’s, but that’s because I’m really not that into 2PM. The guys are super hot (One of the hottest guys in all of kpop is in this group!) and I definitely enjoy watching them, but I’ve never really gotten into their music. It’s not that it’s bad, it just doesn’t grab me. I’m always hoping, and waiting, for that one single that’ll really make me a Hottest though! I think I could do real well with 2PM. Anyway, here’s my ranking!

All About Solo Artists, Part 2

Back with the second part! Last week I listed all the solo artists that I only listen to one song from, and this week we’re listing the solo artists that I have at least two songs from on my phone. As I said last week though, solo artists aren’t my thing. So out of these ten there are five I have 2 songs from, three I have 3 songs from, one I have 4 songs from and one that I have a total of 10 songs from. So, I guess, that in reality there’s only one solo artist I really like.

I will be listing what my favorite song from them is right now, and, just like last time, linking to the songs as well.

Best Kpop Album Ever?

Guys… I really wanted to review GOT7’s “A” today, and I’m sure that’s what many of you want to read as well. But so far I’ve completely failed at finding that video with the translated lyrics, so I guess we’re not doing that… I’ll most probably write a review for that song and video or the whole album next week though! Unless something incredible comes out before that.

So instead I googled “best kpop album ever”, clicked on the first link, and was shocked, and delighted of what was at the top. It was Lee Hyori’s album “Monochrome” which was released in May of last year. I’ve never listened through any Lee Hyori album, but since she is one of my absolute favorite solo artists, it’s about time that I did! So, please, join me and listen through what is apparently the best kpop album ever!

Opinionated Profile of GOT7

got7

GOT7 is the first group to come out of JYP Entertainment since Miss A in 2010. This is the first group ever that I’ve paid attention to ever since the first individual pictures and teasers were released. A new group from one of the big three is always a big thing, and this was one I was looking forward to. Especially after I heard that the two members from JJ Project would be included. Their song Bounce was my jam, and when they didn’t release anything after that I wasn’t pleased. But I got them back, and with them five new pretty boys to stalk!

The Best Kpop Songs Ever

I am basing this review on this page. I am not crazy about anything that’s come out recently, so I thought it could be fun to do a review of what people on the internet think are the best kpop songs of all time. And just so it won’t be just a couple of groups, I’m only allowing one song per group. That does mean that it won’t be exactly the songs that were chosen as the ten best, but it’ll be a little more interesting this way, I think.

Opinionated Profile of BTS

bts

BTS are no longer rookies, since their first anniversary has come and gone, but they were definitely the super rookies of last year. They caught my attention immediately, and now it’s finally time for me to write about them! If nothing awful (like me not getting tickets) happens I will be seeing them live at the end of July, which is incredibly exciting! Anyway, let’s start this opinionated profile!

Attraction Levels of Kpop Groups – SHINee vs BIGBANG vs EXO-M

Guys, this is the last of this series of posts. And I really don’t know what I should do after them. These have been some of my absolute favorite posts to write, so I hope I can come up with a new series that’s as much fun. This is going to be the hardest post to write, I know it. SHINee, BIGBANG and EXO are my top three boy groups, and I like EXO-M more than EXO-K, so this is as hard as it can get. But I’ll try!

Oh, and also, I’m including Kris. It’s not completely official that he’s leaving EXO just yet, and it’ll make me too depressed if I don’t include him.

Here are the rules: Continue reading

Opinionated Profile of TVXQ!

If I do JYJ I of course have to do TVXQ! as well. And since they’re such small groups now (*sob*) it only makes sense to do both. In my mind I always think of JYJ and TVXQ! as being one, so I’ve never thought about having a bias in each group. It just feels weird to me. Jaejoong is my bias in DB5K, and that’s that. But I of course prefer one over the other in TVXQ! as well.
