Well, you might have noticed that the last six opinionated profiles have all been of male groups… And well, to be honest there’ll be almost ten more opinionated profiles of male groups before we get to another female group. I do follow a lot more male groups, and well, it shows. I’m sorry to the people that are more interested in female groups, but I can’t really write about groups I don’t follow.
With that said, let’s move on with this post!
Birth name: Yang Seung Ho
Stage name: Seungho
Birthday: October 16, 1987
Official height: 176 cm
Position: Leader, Lead Vocalist
Comment: I have nothing against Seungho whatsoever, and for once the reason why I’m putting someone last is not because I don’t find them interesting, because here I do. It’s just that Seungho has never been as appealing to me as the other members.
He is attractive, though I’m doubting how photogenic he is, but I’ve never been much attracted to him. That has all been touched upon though, so I don’t have to get into that again.
All the members of MBLAQ are hilarious and outrageous dudes, but I’ve always found Seungho to be the least funny. He’s more put together and mature, at most times, than the other members, and that just makes him less appealing to me. It’s not that I want all 26-year old men to act like kids, it’s just that since he most of the time acts his age, it’s apparent how much older he is than me.
I like Seungho’s voice, it’s very pleasant to listen to and stable. He’s an excellent lead vocalist in that sense. He’s not overly amazing but he always handles his parts with all the grace you could require.
Birth name: Park Sang Hyun
Stage name: Thunder
Birthday: October 7, 1990
Official height: 181 cm
Position: Lead Rapper, Lead Dancer, Vocalist
Comment: Thunder is one of the funniest members in the group, in my opinion. He’s not the loud kind of funny, he’s the clever kind of funny, which I definitely prefer.
Physically, he’s on the level as Seungho for me, I find him attractive, but I’ve never really been attracted to him. I guess neither of them is really my type.
I’ve never paid that much attention to anyone in the group’s individual dancing except for Joon’s, so I can’t really comment on his status as lead dancer. I’ve always liked MBLAQ as dancers though, their choreography is cool, and the always pull it off very well.
He’s an alright rapper, but I do prefer Mir’s rapping. Neither of them is that good though, but they don’t really need to be.
As a supporting vocalist he always does his job well. He’s not an amazing singer, but he pulls it off.
Birth name: Bang Cheol Yong
Stage name: Mir
Birthday: March 10, 1991
Official height: 178 cm
Position: Main Rapper, Maknae
Comment: As I just said, Mir is my favorite rapper in the group. I don’t think he’s in any way an incredible rapper, but I do think he’s gotten a lot better since debut. And since MBLAQ isn’t a rap-focused group, he doesn’t really have to be better. It’s fine how it is now. (It was a wee bit cringe-worthy back in the ‘Oh Yeah’ days though)
I’ve already talked about this in another post, but I think Mir is very handsome. He has a great face, and very clean-cut good-looking features. It depends a lot on how you style him, but he can sometimes be incredibly cute. And super cute guys normally aren’t really my style, so I prefer the masculine side of him.
Mir is very funny, but his personality is almost a little too loud and outgoing for me at times. It makes me a little tired. But he’s good in smaller doses.
Birth name: Jung Byung Hee
Stage name: G.O
Birthday: November 6, 1987
Official height: 177 cm
Position: Main Vocalist
Comment: G.O is one of those main vocalists that I’m shocked aren’t talked about more. This guy is truly great, and he blows the rest of his group out of the water with his singing. He has a great range and tone, and he’s just overall awesome. I know that he’s gotten some featurings, but he really deserves a solo album. And I’ll be waiting patiently for it.
I do think that G.O has grown into being quite the hottie super bum, but it really depends a lot on styling for him. He’s also another member that I doubt how photogenic he is, but I might just not have seen enough shots.
Together with Thunder, I think this guy is one of the absolute funniest in the group. He’s also a less loud funny, and a more clever kind, which I really do prefer. He also seems like an overall nice guy, one that I can truly support all out.
Birth name: Lee Chang Sun
Stage name: Joon
Birthday: February 7, 1988
Official height: 180 cm
Position: Vocalist, Main Dancer, Face of the Group
Comment: I’m not sure if this is true for most people, but it normally is for me: my attachment to my bias in a group is normally directly proportionate to how attached I am to the group as a whole. But there are some cases, like CNBLUE, where I’m more attached to the group than to the bias, and there are some groups, like this one, where my love for my bias definitely outweighs my love for the group. That’s not to say that I don’t like MBLAQ as a whole, because I for sure do, but the level of which I am in love with Joon is incredible. While MBLAQ isn’t even one of my top ten groups, Joon would probably be one of my top five biases.
My love for MBLAQ started when I first saw the video for ‘This is War’. I loved the song, the video, and the dance, but most of all I loved Joon. I didn’t really pay attention to any of the other members at all, and while I looked up his name right afterwards, I didn’t bother to learn the rest of the members for like a couple of years. I didn’t need to know who the other members were, I had Joon, and that was more than enough.
Joon is beautiful. His face is gorgeous, his body is incredible and his smile is amazing.
This guy is beyond silly. I love his cute confused personality, and while I don’t find him to be the funniest in the group, he’s still quite hilarious.
I’m getting more and more interested in dance lately, and there’s nothing I find as beautiful as ballet, so even though he might not be the best at it, I love that Joon has such a passion for ballet. I really like his dancing in general.
I’m not really sure how to make this clearer, Joon is awesome and I’m madly in love with him. For god’s sakes, I hunted down ‘Ninja Assassin’ and watched it for him! I didn’t even know Rain was in it.
I think I made this pretty clear. I do like all the members of MBLAQ, and find them all to be highly likable guys, but Joon is really something special to me.
