I like Infinite, I like all the members, but I can still say who I like better. I’m not sure if these disclaimers are really necessary, but I’ll keep including them just because. It can’t hurt.
Birth name: Lee Seong Yeol
Stage name: Sungyeol
Birthday: August 27, 1991
Official height: 183 cm
Comment: I really have nothing against Sungyeol whatsoever, but he’s the member that stands out the least to me. He’s one of the members who aren’t that strong singers, though he isn’t a bad singer.
I’ve always thought of him as one of the better dancers, but that might be completely wrong of me. All of Infinite are great dancers though, so he’s good either way.
If you’ve read my ‘Attraction Levels of Kpop Groups #2’ then you know that I do find Sungyeol to be very attractive. He’s not the most attractive member, but he does have an interesting look. As I called him in that post: he’s a beautiful alien.
Birth name: Lee Ho Won
Stage name: Hoya
Birthday: March 28, 1991
Official height: 178 cm
Position: Rapper, Vocalist, Main Dancer
Comment: Even though I do find Sungyeol more attractive than Hoya, I’ve always found Hoya to be way sexier. He has this innate sexiness that you just can’t deny, especially when he dances.
I think Hoya is the best dancer in Infinite, and being the best in such an excellent dance group as Infinite means a lot. This guy is very talented, plus very hard-working, and it shows.
Infinite is one of those groups where everyone, even the rappers, are at least capable singers. They’re not all excellent, but they can all handle themselves with grace. And this of course applies to Hoya as well.
Hoya is my least favorite out of the two rappers, but he is quite good as well. I like his tone and his style, and he is overall better than most idol rappers.
Birth name: Kim Sung Gyu
Stage name: Sunggyu
Birthday: April 28, 1989
Official height: 178 cm
Position: Leader, Main Vocalist
Comment: I’m not really attracted to Sunggyu, but I’ve already touched on that so I won’t go into that again.
While Sunggyu is definitely a good and stable singer, I’ve never found his voice that memorable. It sounds too much alike many other people’s voices, and it makes me less inclined to favor his voice. He does handle his voice very well though.
I get that it’s become an inside joke for all the members to kind of make fun of and bust on Sunggyu, and it is funny, but I’m not sure what that says about his leadership. It might say nothing at all, and that he’s just letting them do that for the sake of good TV, but it might also mean that they don’t really respect him. And that could be fine too, maybe Infinite isn’t really a group in need of a leader, or maybe there’s another member who acts the leader behind the scenes. But it might also not be fine, and mean there are some internal problems in this group. I’m probably thinking way too much about this, but ever since I realized that ‘the leader’ isn’t just a ceremonial position, I’ve been paying way more attention to how different leaders handle themselves and their groups.
Birth name: Lee Sung Jong
Stage name: Sungjong
Birthday: September 3, 1993
Official height: 179 cm
Position: Vocalist, Maknae
Comment: I’m a big fan of androgyny and people who push the boundaries of how men and women are “supposed to look”, and I think Sungjong is the second most attractive member of Infinite. That number one is just a little hard to reach…
I love that Sungjong has such an high-pitched voice, it’s very cool. First time I heard it I was a little confused though, since I actually thought it was a girl. It does help him when he’s performing girl group songs though, with his high-pitched voice and thin frame he pulls them off like almost no one else.
He doesn’t have the strongest of voices, but his overall tone is so cool that I don’t really care.
Birth name: Nam Woo Hyun
Stage name: Woohyun
Birthday: February 8, 1991
Official height: 176 cm
Position: Main Vocalist
Comment: Woohyun’s my favorite vocalist in Infinite, hands down. His voice is very stable and nice, plus he has a distinguishable individual tone that makes it easy to tell when it’s him singing.
I would be lying if I said that the fact that he’s so close to Key didn’t make me like him more. But think of it like this: If your friend said someone you don’t know or barely know is awesome you would be more included to think so too right? So I’m really just trusting Key’s judgment. I think Key’s awesome and if he thinks Woohyun is too then he must be pretty cool.
I do think Woohyun’s very attractive, but I have already touched upon this in my previous post so I won’t repeat myself.
Birth name: Kim Myung Soo
Stage name: L
Birthday: March 13, 1992
Official height: 180 cm
Position: Vocalist, Face of the Group
Comment: Oh L… You are such a stupid, gorgeous, annoying, distracting little bias-list-ruiner! If I wasn’t so very fond of my actual bias, L would probably have overtaken him by now. I mean, is it even legal to be this gorgeous? It is? Well it shouldn’t be.
L is gorgeous, too gorgeous, but that isn’t the only reason why I like him so much. This guy is weird, and really 4D. And since I’m pretty sure I could easily classify as being pretty damn 4D myself, I tend to gravitate towards the strange ones. I just feel like we could get along well.
L isn’t the strongest singer, but he handles himself, and come on, do we really care? I’m sorry. I’m a hotblooded teenager, and this guy just tickles my fancy. And he plays guitar! I can’t help it! I’m sorry. I’ll move on now.
Birth name: Jang Dong Woo
Stage name: Dongwoo
Birthday: November 22, 1990
Official height: 175 cm
Position: Main Rapper
Comment: The only idol so far that I’ve found whose ideal type I perfectly fit. And in this case, that makes me feel incredibly special.
I just love Dongwoo. Even though I’m so insanely attracted to L, Dongwoo was the member that first caught my eye and who I always gravitate towards the most. I like that he isn’t picture-perfect and instead has a look that stands out, and I find him very attractive.
I’m the most fond of his rapping and for a rapper, his singing is quite pleasing as well. He has a style I very much enjoy in his rapping, and while his singing isn’t flawless, it is perfectly acceptable.
After Hoya I’ve always considered Dongwoo to be the second-best dancer in the group, and I enjoy his dancing a lot.
I’ve always felt like Dongwoo and I would get along well. I know that we like to think like that about all our biases, but in this case I really think it might be true. We have the same silly sense of humor and the same sense of unnecessary pervertedness, even though mine might be a little more unspoken. Though he might be just as bad as I am, just off camera. I’d like to think that he is.
I have a weird relationship to my top two in Infinite, I’ve noticed. I absolutely adore Dongwoo, and wouldn’t trade him for anyone. But it’s L that I spazz about and it’s him that I find too attractive to handle. It is a little strange and it isn’t common for me, but as long as it works for me I guess there’s nothing wrong with it.
